And yes, the idea that they need to talk to the berbalangs was a today-decision. They were just gonna be monsters to fight. But I think the "they will talk to Breeze!" of it all is what sold it for me.
The whole scene w/ Ember and Akumano was also JUST figured out today, but I think it made a lot more sense than anything else I'd been thinking.
But controlling Ember with the flask is too bad! Could have been an interesting frenemy. Wish we'd have talked to him more. But we never do that, lol.
