Someone here recommended “On Writing Well” as a sort of life-changing book about writing. I’m always interested in books that motivate me to get back to what was once an important part of my life, so I borrowed the audiobook version from the library.

I got 2% into it before I had to shut it off. The reason? The author’s claim that writing is hard and that we can never write a perfect sentence on the first try.

In the 20+ years I wrote books for a living, I did not find that to be the case.
