“A memorable day at work! Our crew’s surprise at finding a dead owl in standing water in the Vehicle Maintenance Garage at Saratoga Spa State Park turned to a rush of activity when they realized it still clung to life. Our natural resources staff believe the owl’s feathers were waterlogged in heavy rains, preventing it from flying. A wildlife rehabilitator nursed it back to health. It fully recovered and has returned to the wild!” - New York State Parks And Historic Sites
