A close-up of ancient rock carvings depicting about a half-dozen human figures, wearing robes and headdresses, and still flecked with bits of red and blue paint. The Dazu UNESCO World Heritage Site is located near Chongqing, in Sichuan Province, and is home to carvings that date back as far as the seventh century B.C.E.
