"Friends of Trees" sounds awfully gosh darn noble until you watch their trees wither away and die in the heat because nobody watered them enough to keep the root ball cool.
Every street needs living trees with a long future. Planting trees isn't doing the whole job. There needs to be a bridge in the gap between magical thinking and reality.
