My (Linux) laptop has started doing a thing where after using it for a bit, it will tell me that my main disk has 1.5T of total space (cool), 1.3T of used space (sure), and ... zero free space (um). Doesn't seem to be deleted-but-open files, way too much to be root-reserved space. I get my 200 gigs of free space back upon reboot, though. What the heck is happening??
