so, what about the idea that 1) have the ticket for 29 EUR, 2) have it ONLY for the summer months, 3) have it as it was with the 9EUR, to buy it from the machine, no Abo! you can even "suspend" regular weekly & monthly tickets during the summer months. doing it so, will give people the ability to travel to nearby towns during summer vacations, using regional trains instead of private cars. help the local economy without screwing everybody in transport sector (company and passengers) in #germany
