It's weird. The casual throw away jokes land, but the ones they pull attention too read like bad fanfiction.
Like Homer wangs Bender with a broom and he yells "bite my shiny metal ass" before him and Homer play tetherball with Bart?
The apocalypse being based off the Life in Hell rabbits is an awesome idea, though.
