I should note that there's only one NVMe slot (PCIe 3.0) on my motherboard, so I'd need a PCI expansion card to add more NVMe capacity.
Also, only 1Gb NIC, so I'd need additional NICs to hit the 2x2.5Gb of the ASUStor.
Finally, the Ryzen 1700 doesn't have an integrated GPU so I'll still be dumping power into the Radeon RX 480 in the box. I looked at grabbing an Intel Arc A310 to replace it, $90.
Really, the ASUStor appeals to me because of the low power draw and compact form factor.
