As suggested here. One simple reason and one great reason:
- base Dems won't stand for a woman and person of color to be passed over when she is 1st in succession
- VP Harris will eviscerate Trump for his SCOTUS striking down Roe vs Wade, and that will stick and will bring people into the tent. It polls 2 to 1 in Dems favor.
Aside from HRC, she is the best person to litigate it against Republicans - who right now think they are skipping out of it, with a big assist from the press.
