A "Methanol Economy" instead of a "Hydrogen Economy": that was the idea of Nobel-Prize winning chemist Georg Olah, which he published in 2005. While some of Olah's ideas appear outdated and obsolete today, green E-Methanol - made from CO2 and green Hydrogen - is considered as a promising option for sectors where direct electrification is infeasible.
