And yet, MGS 2 is not anti AI either. MGS2 was written in 2000-2001. The writers of MGS2 were not thinking about AI the way we do now in 2024.
These AI characters are cardboard cutout standins for authoritarian censors. They and their inclusion in MGS2 has more to say about the modern Republican party than they do about AI in the real world.
