I am slightly perturbed by the degree to which this Arch desktop has decided to promote Fixedsys Excelsior as a fallback font.
Hebrew text within some blocks of serif Latin text? Fixedsys Excelsior. Certain planetary symbols that aren't in Iosevka, in Emacs? Fixedsys Excelsior.
And the four-letter foundry designator it uses in its X font description is “POOP”.
Is “cursedness” a variable anywhere in the font fallback priority logic? If not, should it be?
