Modern flintknapped Friley (ca. AD 800-1200) arrowhead made on heat-treated chert. The reversed barbs are a trait of Friley points. They are associated with the Coles Creek culture, but have been found on Caddo sites via trade. #Archaeology #Flintknapping
Orange to red point that is 13.5 mm wide & 14.5 mm long. It has an expanded stem with slightly convex basal edge. The shoulders sweep up into forward facing barbs that are flanked in the middle by a short triangular blade.
