GMC dealership finally figured out what's wrong with Ol' Blue's brakes. And I am shocked, shocked to learn it's exactly what I thought it was: the Electro-Hydraulic Control Unit (EHCU)/Traction Control System (TCS). Of course GMC no longer stocks, or even makes this part. So $500 to get one with a modest warranty out of a junkyard.
Yep, I'll pay it. I can get 3+ more years out of her if I get this system fixed... that's a lot cheaper than a new pickup (!), or any other good replacement vehicle.
