I’ve always harbored “cabin in the woods” fantasies. For a time (after the breakup of my first marriage) I did actually live as a quasi-hermit in the San Bernardino Mtns (not really, though, as I had to come down to the flatlands three times a week for work).
In any case, cabin in the woods still has a strong appeal, but so does New England house on the rocks.
It had been misty and drizzling for several hours before the clouds blew themselves out and the weather turned around.
