Today's historic #photo of the day is from just 6 years ago today, but it is historical. 1926-built ASEA Type B19 single truck #tram 76 on Djurgårdslinjen route 7N to Skansen sits at Norrmalmstorg, Stockholm, Sweden, August 11 2018.
Most of Stockholm's tram network was closed in 1967 with the road rule change that moved traffic from left to the right hand side of the streets. Some minor off-road outer suburban trams remained but no on-street tracks remained, and none ran in the central city.
An historic 4-wheeled electric tram in a primarily light blue livery sits at a tram stop on a single track loop line with a low platform on each side. In the background is a series of multi-storey grand 19th century commercial buildings.
