Iβm not a fan of country music. After the first batch of classics, πππ ππͺπππ¦π³ ππ° ππͺπππ¦π³! begins to fall flat to my ears β¦ up until his performance of βNo Headstone on My Graveβ. This song is played perfectly by Jerry Lee, not in the boogie style of his youth, nor the plodding country style, but in a phenomenal blend of honky-tonk and blues piano. What a fantastic song! Makes me yearn for an alternate reality where Jerry Lee Lewis gave up teenage rock and turned to the blues. (cont)
