The perpetual loop of “this JavaScript thing is great" and in a couple years “this same JavaScript thing is awful” is so damn exhausting. Things change, I get it; code and opinions. But, but when people start hating on something that was almost universally revered a couple years ago generically as “bloated" it feels like either 1) they're just following a wave or 2) they're obsessing over near imperceptible performance optimization. You can make just about anything “fast”.
