This article is pretty clear on a fact that I like to emphasize: no need to be concerned about “close” passes by asteroids that will take them no closer to Earth than THE ORBIT OF THE MOON. Yeah, they might come around for another go-round, but not this time. This is an opportunity for our telescopes to get a good look. It is NOT any immediate danger.
