Today's court rulings are the logical conclusion of the GOP and their voters not taking their eye off the electoral ball for decades, while dems both failed to run candidates, and people were too precious with their vote.
By capturing state legislatures and governorships into unbeatable supermajorities, they were able to pass absolutely insane laws, which would make their way up to the judges that were confirmed by the senators elected by their very engaged electorate. And here we are.
