Charleston, South Carolina is a beautiful city (at least the old part of it). It's also got great history, museums, fine dining, great shopping, and many other attractions.
Unfortunately, it also has a vivid history of slavery. If you're exploring the historical district of Charleston, you're gonna walk past this building. This is the market where they sold human beings into chattel daily, before the Civil War. It's still standing right damn here.
