What I ended up doing was Helsinki—Dublin on Finnair A320s and Dublin—Newark on the Aer Lingus A321neo LR. 140k Avios + €344.43 for the round trip in business class. I'll leave in the afternoon and stay in Dublin for the night on the outbound, making the timings perfect. Ireland does U.S. pre-clearance, so I'll be wheels up at 1 PM and arriving at EWR as a domestic passenger around 4 PM.
