Today's historic #photo of the day: New wooden sleepers have been distributed lineside in readiness for re-sleepering of the single track cross-country #railway to Blayney via Young and Cowra as seen from the Wombat Road overbridge on the northern exit from the junction station at Demondrille, NSW, October 26 1985.
Demondrille, 391km SW of Sydney, is the junction between the double-track NSW Main South and the cross-country line to Blayney via Young and Cowra.
A single track railway line in a moderately deep rock and grass sided cutting. New wooden sleepers are lying against the cutting edges along the length of the track in readiness for re-sleepering.
