An apology from the fans to the England football team
THE ENGLAND FOOTBALL TEAM An Apology from the fans OVER the course of the match between England and Slovakia we may have given the impression that we thought that the England team was shaming the whole nation, and that Gareth Southgate was a clueless moron who made the Wally WithThe Brolly look like Sir Alf Ramsey. Abusive comments such as “Sack Southgate Now”, “Bellingham’s a Bell End” and “Harry is a Kane in the Arse” possibly suggested we thought that this was the worst England performance we had ever seen - and yes, that includes the defeat by the whale shaggers of Iceland. However, in the light of Jude Bellingham scoring a miracle goal in the 95th minute, followed by Harry Kane heading us to victory in extra time, we now realise that none of the above criticisms and water bottles full of urine directed at the brilliant manager and fantastic players were in any way justified. What we actually meant to shout was “Come on, Sir Southgate’, “Ring out the Bellinghams” and “Football's Kaning Home" We apologise unreservedly for any confusion that our previous abuse may have caused, and will promise to now cheer our heroes on forever, or until we lose to Switzerland, at which point we will start singing our new song “Hey Judas”. © England Fans
