I've seen many articles this week about the Crowdstrike incident, and they all focus on human factors: company culture, economic incentives, open source's advantages.
Those are important, but did you know this entire class of bugs doesn't need to exist? Already doesn't exist on Linux? Won't exist on Windows? All thanks to many years of engineering effort on eBPF.
That message - we can build software where these problems are not inevitable - deserves more attention.
