There is something completely dishonest about Kickstarter and similar things. If its a proper product then you won't hold back, you'll make it as good as possible in the hope that it will catch on.
You'll make it the best you can for the price. All this shit about 'you need to pay us for the developer time' crap is bollocks. Your developers overvalue their time.
