Ok, this just keeps getting weirder.
User makes a joke about a claim in JD Vance book which is not a real quote from the book.
It goes viral, and produces many memes.
Snopes and AP debunk the claim. The text is not in the book, and was made up.
Now the AP removes their fact check page, implying the original claim is true.
Alas, it is just the difficulty in proving a negative.
There are many more substantive reasons to dislike the guy.
