First is just counting fires regardless of size. I have one coin and you have one coin. I have dime and you a 5 oz gold wonder. Go on Alberta and COUNT.
Second is my reworking of that actual fire situation as extinguished fires no longer exist and just make their chart look better.
Supplied by Alberta graph for 'Five Year Wildfire Comparison by Current Date'. We have had 856 by now but 2023 had 863 and 2019 had 794. Most are small and some consume a town. This is not a meaningful statistic in many ways.
