Trump is a wannabe dictator and a real piece of shit. Yet, assassinations, failed or not, are *never* ok. It undermines democracy on the most fundamental level. It's not how we solve or differences.
The real danger here, in the aftermath, is that it will escalate political violence in the US. Violence just brings more violence, and Trump has already done plenty to escalate the violence thus far. I hope he realises this, but I'm not holding my breath.
