If my android photo app can have a simple toggle for writing out coordinates to EXIF, why can't it have a simple setting for asserting my copyright and licencing terms? (Which is definitely available in many, many image metadata standards).
I had this when Flickr existed, and I could make a choice about how I wanted my data used. Instead of respecting that, major platforms attempt to force an EULA and granting of a licence at a blanket level, rather than on each creative work.
