I love these "celebrate the joy of reading threads" so I'm going to go with a twist of my own, and stick to the / themes - my fav 20 of these style books in no particular order / no reasons. (8th of 20)

Original book cover for Gunshine State by Andrew Nette with the quote at the top 'A tense, fast moving, vividly-drawn thriller.' Garry Disher.

The cover is a stylised silhouette of a man in a balaclava with a gun, looking straight out. There's a solid silhouette of a woman slightly behind him standing with her hand on her hip, the other hand also holding a gun. The background to them both is a cityscape against a two tone yellow background with a paler yellow orb shape (like the sun). The bottom of the cover is solid black with both the figures blending into it.
