Rediscovered my old HP32E calculator this afternoon, along with an exam declaration from probably the last time I used it in anger in 1983.
Fortunately I'd removed the notoriously leaky battery pack from it some years ago, which means it works successfully (apart from the bottom segment on the left hand digit) off a couple of standard AA batteries.
A HP32E calculator displaying 123,456,789. It is sitting on a University of Warwick internal memo, signed by me and my personal tutor, declaring that it meets exam regulations. The case for the calculator is partly shown in the top right corner of the image.
