Watched an hour last night of some of the U.S. local news channels (like NBC 4 New York or ABC 7 Bay Area) that I tend to keep on when actually in the U.S.
It’s remarkable how mundane their election coverage is. Sure, the 2024 RNC is a top story, and WNBC sent a reporter, but the big takeaway was about who was going to sing the national anthem?
It’s horse race coverage that specifically avoids taking a look at the horses, except of course the frailty of the horse that currently has COVID.
