Is the Signal around 2 or 3 times the Noise? Now what you think you see is likely to correlate well to where objects are, which you can test by trying not to hit anything as you cross the room. Great! We have adequate Signal to Noise for that purpose. But can you see the color of the wallpaper? You may need more light - greater Signal/Noise - to pull out that information. The more light you have, the higher your Signal/Noise, and the more information, and confidence in that info, you have.
