When you open your eyes again, what happens to those little retinal cell jiggles? They’re still there, BUT most of the information reaching you brain is from those retinal cells doing what they evolved to do: report back on what light is entering your eye, what colors, how each eye reports slightly differently (by which the brain infers depth).
