My goal is painting the text with the QPainter, so I wondered if this also paints a background or if a prior painted rectangle would stay visible. And this is the case. Very nice. This means it only paints the text. So export to a png on transparent background is an option.
A window in which the upper half is a text editor with highlighted (test) code, below is a widget where this text is painted on. There is a grey rectangle behind the text partly. This is an experiment to know if the text is drawn with a background or not.
