NEW attribution study looking at climate change fingerprint on #Asheville flood disaster:
- such rainfall now occurs roughly every 70 years [at +1.3°C], compared to 116 years previously, and is 10% more intense.
- at 2°C extremes [here] will become another 25% more likely and 3% more intense.
