The poor cousin of

Close-up: lower floors of old, picturesque, terraced house façades on an Aarhus street. Stonework in muted colours: white, cream, grey; metal-blue. Framed windows. A red-brown basement door down some steps with decorative iron railings. Four bikes are lying against a basement window in a messy pile, flung over and on top of one another by the wind. The pavement is slabs and cobblestones, overgrown with moss. One white flowerpot with ivy stands on a step to the right. Rising above this jumble of sights and muted colours, behind the fallen bikes: a single fabulous hollyhock that has grown up from a crack by the basement entrance. About 12 thin stems dotted with leaves and thick lovely deep red blooms rises about two metres high so far, well above the basement level and creeping up the first-floor windows.
