In March 2022, a Rep. majority Board of Ed in Killingly CT US voted against accepting a grant to fund student mental health centers at the local high and middle schools b/c “parents rights” might be violated if kids got info and help. Students and parents sued, voters turned out in 2023 and threw the board out. Agreement signed today bringing mental health services to the schools in fall.
