Looking along a street in the Yikes My Childhood Is In A Museum section of Den Gamle By, the Old Town open-air museum in Aarhus. The 1970s section. One shop stands out. It's the original facade of a women's fashion boutique. The shop front is shaped like a gigantic white cassette tape with the windows like the holes where you'd stick a pen in to try and wind loose tape back on. The shop name Elle is on the 'tape' in giant black letters. It's a funky, clever design that catches the eye, even if you aren't old enough to recognise the shape.
