Glædelig mandag. Just sending you a postcard from #Aarhus, just to say that I hope this week treats you well.
Aarhus harbour. Taken just after sunset, after 10pm, on the summer solstice, so the sky remains light and blue. In the midsummer night light, the sea is silver-blue and the promenade gleams white. Right and along the bottom of the image: the prow and wheelhouse of the dark blue old trawler Jakob, a red-and-white lifebelt and green ropes hanging on its red-and-white funnel. Framed above the boat, the city skyline with turrets and the cathedral spire visible, not even silhouettes because of the white-nights light. A glow of fiery orange is seen behind the spire, the remains of the day, the remains of the sun.
