This week it’s been quite striking this week how the riots have affected people.
In the estate where I live, where one third of families could be parsed as ‘immigrant’ in some way, there is real fear about racists coming here and how to prevent that. Even the white Australians on an extended stay here are afraid.
Tonight a neighbour described a broad daylight road rage attack on a local taxi, telling them to ‘go back home’
Many local homes are putting up lights and cameras.
