You’ve heard of Lithium Ion batteries. You may have heard of new Sodium Ion batteries (plentiful raw materials but not quite as good performance). But today I learned that there has been very successful development of Potassium Ion batteries too, and they are reported to perform as well as the Lithium ones. That column of the periodic table is wild.
Battery chemistry and photo voltaics are some of the fastest moving technologies in this era. It reminds me of the heyday of silicon in the 80s.
