Solidarity with all who are awake only because they were bullied by a cat. We shall resist! 🐈‍⬛

A smug grey cat lies nestled into a navy blue beanbag after having breakfast he demanded by walking on my head at 4:35 AM then clambering past an awkward barrier I’d put up to block him from the top of the dresser so he wouldn’t cause a ruckus, which he then caused, forcing me to get up and feed him because I love my spouse who needs a lot more sleep than I do. The cat is only being a cat and using the behavioral tools I’ve inadvertently taught him. To his credit, he does start by meowing quietly and politely to get me up, which I ignore, before proceeding to ruckus, which is effective, therefore associating the action with the desired outcome. Ruckus gets me up; once up, he gets fed. Repeat, ad infinium. Sigh. But he’s cute, and soft, and interesting, so he gets away with it.
