And here’s the wind, exactly as forecast! The great thing about the wind is that you’re looking at systems a thousand miles across, involving millions of tons of air with mechanical momentum and thermal mass, which generally aren’t going to deviate far from a predictable course and behaviour over 2-3 days. This is why the grid operators can plan ahead and why those of us watching services like Windy can anticipate agile electricity prices before they are announced. Well.. it keeps me amused!
