Apropos of this day today, when I first saw this #painting I hated it! I thought it was facile, drugged, comic even. It took me a while to understand the significance. Now when I see it I remember that process of unlearning and unjudging. I've come to find it important, if not poetic as first intended. In that way it is at least beautiful, and more, a radical leap.
Accept the miracle that is offered to deliver you. You don't know yet all it means.
A painting on the way from impressionism to abstraction and also with an element of surrealism. It depicts piano keys on water as if reflected under a boat.
