tbf this 3-pot system is one of the simplest type of electrical wiring you can find on a bass guitar (except maybe the weird HPF thing with a reactive load). Recently I been ogling 5-string electrical basses and these tend to have so many different knobs/switches it almost requires a manual to use these instruments. Anything from four to six plus some double shafted. I'm a simple person, my lizard brain can't handle 6 pots on my bass guitar. Ideally I would need just an on-off switch.
