In the interview, Soumaya Keynes did with Angus Deaton,
he shared a perspective about the aid that is still on my mind:
Foreign aid is a trade‑off, like any solution, but one of the cons of it is that
those in power are not responsible to citizens for this money.
And now my brain wandered to subsidies from EU to Polish gov and the zeitgeist of detachment of politics from democratic will of its constituents.
