ok, my peeps, help me understand. re: the trolley problem or any other problem where there are multiple non-reprehensible choices in self-driving car ethics, why can’t we treat these as configurable? if most people wouldn’t buy a self-driving car that kills its N occupants to save >N pedestrians, then why don’t we make this the default, but leave it up to owner configuration to choose the other option? is the issue informed consent of other passengers or something?
